Trudy Harsh
Trudy founded The Brain Foundation in 2003 and is President Emeritus. An expert real estate agent, she found a way to provide housing for 36 residents with brain diseases. She continues to be our inspiration and our strength.

Vincent Rice
Vincent, serving as Vice President, assists in solving the many challenges facing TBF. Retired from the US Air Force as a Lt. Col., he went on to work for other Government Departments and private industry, eventually retiring from the business arena. He holds a BS in Chemistry and a MS in Aerospace Systems Management.

David Hunt
David joined the Board in 2013 as the accountant/bookkeeper. Following graduation from Penn State, he became a CPA with Ernst & Ernst in Philadelphia. He has served non profit organizations as CFO; first with the Devereux Foundation and then with the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. David and his wife Audrey have lived in Centreville since 1988.

Sue Moriak
Sue is the best and most capable Secretary in the history of secretaries. Her devotion, caring and love for TBF is never-ending and greatly appreciated. Sue and Ted have been married 61 years and have been with TBF since the very beginning.

Ted Moriak
Looking for an after-retirement activity, Ted, a PhD economist with the U.S. Dept of Agriculture, joined the fledgling TBF as their Director of Loans and Grants. He was instrumental in obtaining all funding and grants for nine houses. i.e. The Washington Post donated $40,000. Ted was an amazing grant-writer and he continues his unwavering commitment to TBF and the mental health community .

Dotti McKee
Dotti McKee became an active advocate for adults with mental illness when her son became ill with schizophrenia during his senior year in college. He currently lives in the Wilcoxson house and she continues to work with TBF as a member of the Board of Directors.

Gloria Kozich
Gloria serves in the capacity of Community Relations. She is a friend to our residents, helping to make their lives more productive and their homes more comfortable. She was born in Tacoma Washington and arrived in Fairfax County in 2000 by way of New York City and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She is truly a Gift to TBF.

Bernadine Rice
Bernadine, House Rep, became involved with TBF in 2008 when her son moved to KEI. She spent 32 years in education with a Masters in Ed and Development. She is an avid volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, The Links, Inc, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and many others. She and Vincent have been married 57 years and have a son and a daughter.

Valorie Moses
Valorie is a happy wife and mother of four (five if you count the dog!). She joined TBF as a House Representative for Farsta in September of 2023, satisfying her passion to give back to the community. She served 8 years in the US Army followed by a nearly 20-year career in IT. Leaving that high stress environment, she now works with special education children in her local elementary school.

Matt Love
Matt is our Golf Tournament Master of the Game. He creates an innovative fun tournament including breakfast, lunch and a fabulous silent auction. Matt works for Dominion Electric and lives in Centreville? with his wife and ___ children.

Jim McCann
James joined the Board in 2013 and is the Foundation’s Treasurer, working closely with the other board members to ensure that all finances and financial reporting are in order. He is a Certified Public Accountant and provides tax compliance, consulting, and business advisory services to closely held businesses and high net worth individuals. James received his BBA and Master of Accounting from The College of William and Mary, and lives in Alexandria with his wife and son.

Dallison Veach
Dallison joined TBF in 2018 and owns Veach Realty Group. She continues to work with TBF, provides the Send-Out-Cards website and volunteers with our annual Golf Tournament. Dallison’s personal experience caring for her father, with Parkinson’s and Dementia, drives her commitment to the community. She and her husband live in Fairfax Station. They have three children.
